Established in 2010
The New York Association of Emerging & Multicultural Provider s, Inc. (NYAEMP) is a Not-for-profit association dedicated to providing advocacy, education, information, technical assistance, public policy analysis and networking opportunities to agencies who provide essential, meaningful and unique supports and services to individuals with disabilities.
Our multicultural service providers are agencies that promote and exhibit an understanding of diversity and design and deliver services tailored to the unique needs and assets of a community, family, and individual that are grounded in a nuanced perspective of cultural differences. In these agencies, members of the board of directors, executive staff, and frontline service workers reflect the diversity of the communi- ties in which they operate and the families who receive services. In addition, these agencies have the ability to ensure that all staff receive diversity and cultural awareness that they apply in their daily work.
NYAEMP recognizes that well informed and qualified agencies are crucial to the integrity of services and the quality of life to the individuals we serve.
